On Thursday, May 29, 2014, Wheaton family law attorney Kiley M. Whitty was installed as the 2014-2015 President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers (D.A.W.L.). Whitty was sworn in as the 31st President at the association’s annual Installation dinner held at the Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club in Oak Brook, IL. Whitty precedes her new role as D.A.W.L. President by serving as a Director and Officer since 2011. Whitty has been an active member of the association since 2009, while also being involved with the DuPage County Bar Association and the Northwest Suburban Bar Association.
D.A.W.L. was founded in 1980 by DuPage County’s first female Judge, the Honorable Helen C. Kinney. The association’s mission is to promote and foster the interests of women lawyers, while maintaining honor, and encouraging helpfulness in the community. Whitty will help ensure that the association continues to be a strong presence in the DuPage County legal community and demonstrates its strong commitment to the community at large through philanthropic efforts.
Whitty earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She focuses her legal practice on the areas of family law, child custody, estate planning, bankruptcy, and creditor negotiations. She is also an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Northwest Suburban Bar Association.
