Nikki graduated cum laude from Pace Law School, and earned her undergraduate degree in English from Boston College.  While in law school, Nikki focused her studies on equal rights and criminal justice.  Nikki served as an intern at the United States Court of Appeals, Second circuit, working closely with staff attorneys on immigration law and prisoners rights issues.  Prior to graduation, Nikki also served as an intern at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office working in the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Bureau.  

 

 

After law school, Nikki spent the next five years as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office. Nikki is experienced in all phases of investigations and trials and has handled numerous misdemeanor cases to completion, as well as some felony matters.  Nikki also has extensive post-judgment and appellate experience, and has successfully defended several convictions in the Appellate Division, First Department. 

 

After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Nikki worked as an Ongoing Service Coordinator for a Mount Vernon-based agency that provides Early Intervention services to infants and young children.  Nikki took on this position after her own daughter was referred to the Early Intervention Program for services when she born with a rare neurological birth defect. Nikki is also a board member of the Westchester Local Early Intervention Coordinating Council, and has spoken in Albany at the New York State Early Intervention Coordinating Council as a parent advocate.  As a parent of a child with special needs, Nikki is deeply committed to preserving the educational rights of all children with special needs.

 

Nikki has also represented clients in family court in custody and support matters, as well as in Bronx Criminal Court. 

 

Nikki is licensed to practice law in both New York and Connecticut, and she will be concentrating her practice on Special Education, Family and Criminal Law matters, as well as representing juveniles in Criminal and Family Court matters.
