QUESTIONNAIRE
Civil Rights Federal Lawsuit. I was the lead trial attorney. Obtained a unanimous defense jury verdict for the defendant client, former military veteran wrongfully accused of civil rights violations. In another case, I represented a client who had been defrauded regarding a real estate transaction who was also being sued to be evicted via unlawful detainer. We obtained a judgment in favor of our client and prevented the wrongful eviction. I like helping people in their legal matters.
How did you build a successful practice?Hard work, diligence, networking, and treating people right.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?Diligence, good references, knowledge, and experience.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Very. Juries are often reflected by the surrounding community. Further, knowledge and obedience to local court and judge rules and procedures can make or break a case.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation? After reviewing the general basic facts, I can let you know whether or not you may have a case and can schedule a follow up in person meeting to review any documents, evidence, photos of your matter.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?Who? What? Where? When? What proof do you have?
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community? As a former DUI prosecutor and now law firm attorney, I am a very experienced trial attorney in criminal, Federal, and State civil courts. Most lawyers rarely do trials, cannot communicate complicated cases to juries, lack social/networking skills, lack empathy for their clients, their logical reasonable is clouded by their egos or sole interest in compensation (which can hurt their client's case), and lack creative problem solving/communication skills. I pride myself on not being one of those lawyers. Having worked in several entertainment companies, I am also well versed and highly recommended in entertainment transactional/litigation matters. I have also been highly involved in youth mentorship and community outreach via the Los Angeles Food Bank and John M. Langston Bar Association since I was a law student at UCLA.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?Helping people.
What are your other interests in addition to law?Theater, fine cuisine, and hiking.
Are you involved in your community?Absolutely. I am highly involved in youth mentorship and community outreach via the Los Angeles Food Bank and John M. Langston Bar Association since I was a law student at UCLA.
