Mr. Benjamin K. Grant Esq., Attorney

Benjamin K. Grant is a cum laude graduate of the University of Maine School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Team and served as President of the Student Bar Association. Ben received a bachelor of arts degree from Wesleyan University in 2000, where he graduated with honors in history and served as captain of the golf team.

Prior to joining McTeague Higbee, Ben worked extensively in state government and electoral politics. He was an aide to State Senate Presidents Beth Edmonds and Beverly Daggett, served as the Director of the Senate Democratic Campaign Committee for the 2004 election cycle, and worked on numerous individual campaigns in Maine and New Hampshire.

Ben began clerking for the firm in 2005 and became an associate in 2008. He will be concentrating his practice on longshore and state workers' compensation, labor law, employment discrimination, and legislative affairs.

Ben is a native of Merrimack, NH, but his Maine roots are deep. His father, Clair, hails from Millinocket, and his mother, Joan, was born in Bar Harbor and grew up in Bangor. Ben and his wife, Cate, reside in Portland.
