David S. Bristol, Attorney

Mr. Bristol founded The Law Offices of David S. Bristol in 1999 for the purpose of assisting businesses with their day to day needs and assisting administrators, confidential employees, certificated employees, classified employees and students and parents with their individualized issues with school districts, private schools, vocational schools, community colleges, colleges, and universities.

As a practicing attorney for over seventeen years, Mr. Bristol has been involved in matters of civil and business litigation and has personally represented both public and private sector clients in jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, administrative hearings, settlement conferences and mediations. Mr. Bristol's areas of practice include, but are not limited to, matters involving age, race and sexual discrimination, ADA allegations, partnership disputes, personal injury, wrongful termination and constructive discharge allegations, copyright infringement, breach of contract, property damage, tort, administrative claims, employee handbook creation and DFEH and EEOC responses.

Mr. Bristol's background also includes the representation of school districts and community college districts throughout the State of California. Over ten years ago, Mr. Bristol expanded his practice to include representation of individual employees and students with their work and school related issues with school districts, private schools, vocational schools, community colleges, colleges, and universities. In that endeavor, Mr. Bristol has personally represented administrators, confidential employees, certificated employees, classified employees, students and parents in issues with school districts, private schools, vocational schools, community colleges, colleges, and universities. Mr. Bristol's representation has included defending and providing guidance to those mentioned above in dismissal, suspension and demotion hearings, responding to reprimands and evaluations, grievances, collective bargaining, arbitration, Brown Act issues, Title V investigations, student expulsions, suspensions, school initiated placement hearings, contesting student records, parent complaints, CIF issues, special education and any other issues relating to an individual's education and/or employment.

Mr. Bristol received his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1992 and has been practicing in the San Diego area since.
