David Fink | Bloomfield Hills Class Action Lawyer

David H. Fink is managing partner of Fink + Associates Law. He has more than 35 years of litigation experience, winning important victories in state and federal trial and appellate courts.

He focuses his practice on complex commercial and class action litigation, including business matters, antitrust, consumer fraud, environmental law, intergovernmental disputes, securities fraud, shareholder derivative litigation, insurance coverage and construction contract matters.

David has been selected as a Super Lawyer in Michigan Super Lawyers magazine every year since 2007 and was selected by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a “Leader in the Law” for 2011.

David served on the Michigan State Officers Compensation Commission from 2011 through 2014 where he fought for pay increases for Michigan judges. He currently serves on the State Bar of Michigan Judicial Qualification Committee, which reviews candidates for state judicial positions. In May of 2013, the Judges of the Eastern District of Michigan appointed David to serve as Chair of the Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel, for the selection of a Magistrate Judge in Bay City.

David is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association and currently serves as co-chair of the Eastern District of Michigan Federal Bar Association Book Club.

Prior to founding Fink + Associates Law, David had worked in private practice beginning in 1978 with a break from February 2003 until November 2005, when he served in the cabinet of Governor Jennifer M. Granholm as State Employer.

David is actively involved in civic and community affairs. He recently stepped down as President of the Bloomfield Hills Schools Foundation and continues to serve on its Board. He also recently completed his tenure as a member of the Board of Directors for Jewish Family Services of Metropolitan Detroit.

• Antitrust & Trade Law | David Fink serves as court-apponted Interim Class Counsel | Antitrust class action claims related to a conspiracy to control markets and increase prices of refrigerant compressors. Class Action | Class Cert Denied | Consumer fraud and warranty claim class action against OnStar and certain vehicle manufacturers arising from loss of use of OnStar telematics after transition from analog to digital wireless service. David Fink served as Interim Class Counsel. Class Action | Current status--Our firm has been appointed by Judge Quist to serve as one of the interim lead counsel. A Consolidated Amended Complaint has been filed | This case arises from the release of over 800,000 gallons of petroleum products from a pipeline operated by the Enbridge Corporation into the Talmadge Creek and the Kalamazoo River in the vicinity of Battle Creek, Michigan. Antitrust & Trade Law | Fink + Associates Law has been appointed by Judge Battani to serve as interim liaison counsel | Antitrust Litigation, recently filed in the Eastern District of Michigan, arising from allegations of price-fixing in the auto supply industry, including Wire Harnesses, Instrument Panel Clusters, Fuel Senders, Heater Control Panels, Bearings and Occupant Safety Systems.
