I represented a mother in a modification of custody case. My client had been awarded primary physical custody of her daughter in the divorce when her child was a baby. Due to her drug use, she lost custody to the father in a modification. After she straightened up her life, stopped using drugs, got a job, and married, she hired me to file a modification of custody case. This was a complicated case involving emergency motions, temporary hearings, a guadian ad litem being appointed, mediation, and a final hearing. At the end of the case, custody was modified to give primary physical custody to my client of her daughter. This made a huge difference in the life of my client and her daughter.
