In 1989 Mr. Dervishi obtained his law degree from Tirana University School of Law. Mr. Dervishi worked as a special agent of the General Investigations Office with his office in Tirana. In 1994 he was elected as the Deputy Attorney General by the Albanian Parliament. He served as the Deputy Attorney General of Albania from 1994 to 1998.

In 1998 he immigrated to United States. His family arrived in the U.S. within a few months. Upon his arrival in Washington D.C., he met with members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives since his trip was sponsored by the U.S. government. Beginning in 2003, he began to attend Pace University School of Law and graduated with a Master of Law degree in May, 2004. He is now admitted to the New York State Bar and practices law in all courts in our state.

• Recent Cases: -$2 Million Settlement at Mediation for a construction worker who fell from an unsecured ladder while installing sheetrock, resulting in a mild traumatic BRAIN INJURY and herniation’s to his neck requiring cervical fusion surgery. Worker was hired as handy man by building management to install sheet rock around a gas line inside the building’s utility room. The worker was provided with an A-frame ladder and was required to stand on the ladder while using both hands to install the sheet rock. As he was working, the ladder wobbled causing the worker to fall four feet to the CONCRETE FLOOR below. The worker hit his head and suffered from permanent memory problems, mild vision problems, and occasional headaches. He also suffered herniation’s to his neck and back requiring cervical fusion surgery. -$700,000 Settlement at Mediation for construction worker who fell through an open elevator shaft during construction of Manhattan high-rise sustaining injuries to his shoulder and knee, requiring arthroscopic surgeries. The worker was a union concrete laborer who was assisting in the installation of a CONCRETE FLOOR in a high rise building. While walking backwards, he stepped through the uncovered opening of an elevator shaft and fell to the floor below, hitting his shoulder and knee as he fell. As a result he required arthroscopic surgeries to repair his torn rotator cuff (shoulder) and meniscus (knee). He is expected to be able to return to work after rehabilitation and further education from a speech pathologist.
