--Violation of Order for Protection Dismissed-- -Practice Area: Criminal defense -Outcome: Case Dismissed. -Description: Successfully defended a client by showing that the defendant failed to have actual contact with the person who had a valid Order for Protection. --Domestic Assault Dismissed-- -Practice Area: Criminal defense -Outcome: Case Dismissed. -Description: Client was charged with Domestic Assault following an argument with her spouse that became physical. We successfully argued that she was trying to get away from her husband to safety and the charges were dismissed. --Domestic Assault Dismissed-- -Practice Area: Criminal defense -Outcome: Case Dismissed. -Description: I am happy to report that a client who was wrongfully charged with domestic assault after acting in self-defense was dismissed by with agreement of the prosecution. --Theft Charges Dismissed-- -Practice Area: Criminal defense -Outcome: Dismissed -Description: Client was charged with shoplifting and this was not typical behavior for this individual who had a good job, good record, and good attitude. So long as there are no similar offenses, the prosecutor agreed to dismiss the case. --Disorderly Conduct Dismissed-- -Practice Area: Criminal defense -Outcome: Case Dismissed. -Description: After refusing to dismiss the charges at the first couple of court appearances, the prosecutor backed down and dismissed the charges as we demanded a Trial. --Expungement of Theft Charges-- -Practice Area: Criminal defense -Outcome: Expungement Granted -Description: Client was originally charged with theft which we got dismissed. We then Petitioned the Court for an expungement so that there would be no record of our client being charged. --Client awarded sole legal and sole physical custody of child following Trial-- -Practice Area: Child custody -Outcome: We won sole legal and sole physical custody for mom -Description: High conflict case involving a custody and parenting time dispute. Following a two day trial, we were pleased that the Court awarded my client sole legal custody and sole physical custody of her son. --Gross Misdemeanor DWI Dismissed-- -Practice Area: DUI and DWI -Outcome: Case Dismissed. -Description: Defendant charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. Second offense within 2 years. --Domestic Assault Dismissed-- -Practice Area: Criminal defense -Outcome: The prosecution agreed to dismiss the case so long at the client doesn't have any assault charges during the next 12 months (commonly referred to as a Continuance for Dismissal) -Description: Client was charged with Domestic Assault of a family member while coming to the defense of a sibling. --Felony Case Dismissed-- -Practice Area: Criminal defense -Outcome: Charges Dismissed -Description: I recently helped get a client's serious felony charges get dismissed. If the client was convicted, he would have faced significant jail time and had to register publicly. We were grateful for this outcome as the client was truly innocent.
