Howard L. Glass, Esq., founder of The Law Offices of Howard Glass in 1997, has the experience, awards, reputation, and distinction of serving his clients, the courts, and the community at large.  Mr. Glass is gentle with his clients, but he is assertive or aggressive - as necessary when dealing with any person, firm, organization/corporation, or attorney, who/which seeks to harm you in any way - as permitted by state or federal law.

Mr. Glass' practice - unlike most other law firms - focuses on PERSONALLY selecting and then treating EACH client with time, dignity, and respect.

Mr. Glass is now accepting NEW clients once again and offers a $20 initial consultation fee. The client is asked to either accept or reject the fee quoted after the first half-hour of consultation; regardless, each potential client's confidential/private matters are protected from disclosure (see below).

Whenever possible, Mr. Glass tries to save you money by seeking early negotiations with any contentious people/firms.

Mr. Glass is certified by UHLC as both a general and specialized/family law mediator.

When travel time is available, Mr. Glass volunteers as a part-time judge for an alternative juvenile redirection project in Miami, FL.  Click on each photograph below for a description.

Mr. Glass limits his practice of law to the State of Texas and is certified to practice before the U.S. District Courts, S. District of Texas (federal cases).

We look forward to meeting you with the best intention of resolving your legal concern(s), providing you or your company with the best service for the money spent. It only takes $20 for us to get together and discuss your situation, so why wait?

Mr. Glass serves as a legal icon in our community and can be reached anytime at (713) 910-5757.

  • We deal with a vast variety of cases: from simple traffic tickets and DUI/DWIs to wrongful death/medical malpractice appeals. Both civil (including litigation, business/contract, and estate) and criminal law represent the bulk of the legal practice. An example of an appellate court using Mr. Glass' writing style and excerpts and an example of his work can be viewed by typing the following web address(es) in your browser: http://www.14thcoa.courts.state.tx.us/Case/Opinions/111899/980581f.pdf OR http://caselaw.findlaw.com/tx-court-of-appeals/1007746.html Other cases are subject to review in the public records in the courthouses of Houston, Sugarland, Clearlake, Dallas, and Waco. Most case information, however, is not revealed because there is an ATTORNEY-CLIENT PRIVILEGE of CONFIDENTIALITY between the attorney and client, which forbids the disclosure of private information. A high amount of discretion is agreed upon with each client as to what will be revealed and what will remain confidential. State and federal laws prohibit the attorney from discussing certain aspects of your case with anyone else.

Mr. Glass, recent 2015 Recipient of H Texas Magazine's coveted "Top Lawyer in Houston" Selection and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate, was not only very active in leadership positions while attending law school, such as serving as a two-term president of the Health Law Organization - the student-driven organization belonging to U.S. News & World Report's #1-rated law school "health law" program - and as Chief Justice of Phi Alpha Delta ("PAD"), the international law school fraternity), but also Mr. Glass has continued serving our community not just as a member in "good standing" of the State Bar of Texas, a dedicated member of the American Bar Association, and a Houston Better Business Bureau "A+" rated attorney, but Mr. Glass continues to be a supporter and volunteer for the Mayor, a respected "officer of the court" for our local Judges/Courts, a trusted and important part of a recent, past U.S. President's convoy - specifically assisting the White House Press when in Houston, a volunteer "Teen Court" Judge for young men and women who find/found themselves in trouble with the law (while Mr. Glass is/was in the South Florida area), a Harris County community activist, a volunteer for the Houston Volunteer Lawyers' Association ("HVLA"), a founding alumnus and donor for the new University of Houston Resource Center, and Mr. Glass has the unique background and experience of serving as a law clerk to both Union Pacific Railroad and Chevron USA, as well as interning for both State and Federal Court Judges; in fact, Judge Schneider, the State Court Judge for whom Mr. Glass first interned, served on the Supreme Court of Texas until his retirement fairly recently. Mr. Glass serves the entire State of Texas: From Waco to Austin to Dallas, Mr. Glass is just as busy "out of the office" as he is during the majority of his time at the Glass Law Group's headquarters in downtown Houston. In his "spare" time, Mr. Glass enjoys traveling worldwide, photography, and SCUBA diving.

Fee: $20 for initial, half-hour consultation, whether by phone or in person. For most P.I. cases, a "contingency-fee" structure is mutually agreed upon (client pays nothing unless and until there is a monetary recovery). For transactional (non-litigious situations, such as Powers of Attorney, Wills, Contracts), a flat fee is most often quoted. For most other office visits, the first/initial consultation is $20 for the first half-hour (via telephone or in-person). Future legal work is billed hourly from a retainer fee, which is normally paid upon mutual agreement of attorney and client. Almost all *criminal* defense agreements require a cash or money order payment before agreeing to represent the client.
