Introduction: | INTESAR A. ELDER focuses her practice on real estate law and corporate banking. Her legal work is extensive and spans a variety of areas. Ms. Elder's experience involves commercial transactions representing lenders as a secured and unsecured lender in which she prepared, drafted, reviewed, and negotiated documentation for commercial transactions. She also analyzed and communicated the law as it relates to commercial lending practices and commercial transactions. Ms. Elder had the opportunity to effectively provide legal advice to bank officers and management and reviewed risks of particular transactions as well as business strategies. She served as counselor to Comerica Bank on the intricacies involved in perfecting its security interests in aircraft, including aircraft financing under the Cape Town Convention on Financing of High-Value, Mobile Equipment. Ms. Elder also acted as lead Comerica liaison in the Arab-American community. Prior to joining Lewis & Munday, Ms. Elder was an associate attorney at a large Detroit firm, Assistant Vice President and Associate Counsel of Comerica Bank and a litigation attorney for a boutique litigation firm. Ms. Elder is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She is fluent in spoken Arabic. Ms. Elder is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2004), and the University of Michigan (B.A., 2000). |
