Mr. Yoder is a partner in the Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy Practice Group of the Business Department.  Mr. Yoder practices bankruptcy law, representing business creditors in a broad range of matters including, claim disputes, executory contract issues, lift stay motions and preferential transfer avoidance actions.  Mr. Yoder represents insurers in asbestos, mass tort bankruptcy cases and in other bankruptcy matters affecting insurers.  Furthermore, he represents utility companies, typically with regard to pre-petition claims and post-petition adequate protection matters.

Mr. Yoder has acted as counsel for creditors and other interested parties in many large bankruptcy cases including: AMEC Holdings, ANC Rental, APS Holdings, BVL Holdings, Combustion Engineering, EXDS, Factory 2 U, Federal-Mogul, Fleming, Hayes Lemmerz, Hechinger, IT Group, Integrated Health Services, JL French Automotive Castings, MDIP, Mariner, Matlack Systems, Oakwood Homes, Quigley, Stone & Webster, Sun Healthcare, Western MacArthur and Zenith.   Also, Mr. Yoder has varied experience in non-bankruptcy litigation relating to commercial law, construction law, insurance coverage, professional liability, products liability, and transportation law, primarily in state and federal courts in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining White and Williams LLP, Mr. Yoder was the Managing Director of the law firm of Tighe, Cottrell & Logan, P.A. in Wilmington, DE.  He also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable George Farrell, III, Superior Court of New Jersey, Salem County.

Mr. Yoder received his B.A., from the University of Delaware in 1983 and his J.D. in 1986 from the Widener University School of Law.  He is licensed to practice in the states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  Mr. Yoder is admitted to appear before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the Federal District Courts for the Districts of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  He is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.  Mr. Yoder is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Congregation Beth Emeth in Wilmington, DE.  He is a Mediator trained under the auspices of the Superior Court of Delaware and on the panel of approved Mediators/Arbitrators for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.  Mr. Yoder has been AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system.
