Jared W Stansfield, Attorney

Jared serves as Of Counsel to the Firm, specializing in the areas of estate planning taxation, medicaid and elder law. He has considerable expertise and experience in the preparation of revocable living trusts, trusts for minor children, charitable remainder trusts, durable powers of attorney for financial decision making in the event of disability, health care proxies, wills, marital trusts, probate of estates with or without wills, preparation of federal and state estate tax returns, and obtaining estate tax lien releases. Also, his practice includes general corporate issues including start-up of both profit and nonprofit corporations.

Jared is General Counsel to a strategic planning and marketing consulting firm specializing in work with law firms throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Jared occasionally teaches a course in "The Rights of Medical Patients" at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences. He has also been featured in articles in the National Law Journal and the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly on issues related to law firm marketing.

Jared has been Committee Chairman of his son's Cub Scout Pack and is otherwise very active in the Boy Scouts of America. His other interests include sailing, skiing, fishing and camping. Jared was also a founding Director of the Children's Montessori School of Ipswich, Massachusetts, now in its 10th year.
