Introduction: | Jeffrey A. Lichtman is a partner and senior trial attorney in the firm Trolman, Glaser & Lichtman, P.C., a personal injury law firm. Mr. Lichtman graduated from the University of Notre Dame receiving his Juris Doctor Degree in 1978, and thereafter, was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1979. Mr. Lichtman does not confine himself to any particular area of the firm's practice, and is regularly on trial in cases involving Medical Negligence, Lead Paint Poisoning, Labor Law, Product Liability, and General Liability.
In addition to his commitment to each client's cause, Mr. Lichtman has for the past decade spent considerable time and energy devoted to protecting the right to trial by a jury in civil matters.He has served as President of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and continues to serve as a Board Member actively involved in the politics of the profession. Recent Cases Mr. Lichtman represented two sons of a woman who died of complications after a gastric-bypass operation.This matter resulted in a trial and the jury verdict in the sum of $28 million dollars to compensate for pain and suffering and loss of parental guidance. Mr. Lichtman represented ten year old twins who were seriously scalded and scarred as a result of hot oil that spilled when the kitchen stove tipped in their apartment as a result of negligent installation and proper support for this appliance.The matter was resolved before trial for $12 million dollars. Mr. Lichtman represented the family of an undocumented cement worker who was killed due to a collapse of the flooring at a construction site crushing him in the wreckage.The matter was resolved before trial for $2,500,000.00. | ||||||
