Cases
NOTABLE CASES HANDLED BY MR. ARMSTRONG: October 2015 - State of Alabama v. Phillip Foster (Mr. Foster was charged with Solicitation of a Child for Immoral Purposes, along with other sex offenses. The "alleged" victim was a minor under 16 years of age. Over a 48 hour period, the minor sent numerous tests messages to Mr. Foster lying about her age and other details in a attempt to make her appear older; claiming she was 24 years of age. Upon meeting with the minor, Mr. Foster realized the victim was under aged and the State of Alabama still charged him with multiple sex crimes. The jury returned a NOT GUILTY verdict. The jurors believed Mr. Foster was "entrapped" by the minor, even though entrapment applies usually to law enforcement agents. September 2014 - State of Alabama v. James Harrison (After spending more than 15 years on DEATH ROW, Mr. Harrison was granted a new trial. After an extensive trial and presentation of mitigation evidence of Mr. Harrison's childhood and adult life, a jury agreed with Mr. Armstrong and sentenced Mr. Harrison, by a 12-0 vote, to LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE instead of DEATH.)
