Cases
Workers Compensation | 100% Permanent Disability Award worth in excess of $2 million plus lifetime medical award. | Injured worker sustained a significant back injury resulting in chronic pain syndrome preventing her from returning to the open labor market. We obtained the deposition testimony of all of the evaluators to provide detailed work restrictions and reasons the injured worker could not return to the labor market. Then we hired a vocational expert to provide testimony that, based on the opinions of the doctors and his evaluation, the injured worker was Permanently Totally Disabled. We went to Trial and obtained an award of Permanent Total Disability (100% Permanent Disability) worth a present day value well in excess of $2 million plus an award of lifetime medical care. After the successful outcome at Trial, we successfully defended Defendants' appeal to the next level. Defendants then filed a writ with the Court of Appeal to which we have responded and fully expect Defendants' Appeal to be denied.
