Introduction: | John Huster specializes in general business litigation, including fraud, real estate disputes, estate and trust litigation, employment litigation, contract disputes, business and personal torts, in a wide variety of real estate matters, including real estate purchase agreements, commercial and residential lease drafting, landlord/tenant lease enforcement and eviction actions, real estate fraud claims, land use and entitlement issues, and construction defect and contract litigation. In the area of employment litigation and counseling, John has extensive experience in representing employers and employees in all forms of employment litigation and litigation avoidance strategies. He obtained his employment law training while working for the nation's premier labor and employment law firm, Littler Mendelson. He counsels employers on a variety of litigation avoidance techniques, including how to navigate California's wage and hour rules and anti-discrimination policies. He has represented both employers and employees in litigation involving, sexual harassment, age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability and pregnancy discrimination, wrongful termination and wage and hour claims. John also represents individuals with personal injury claims and insurance disputes involving auto accidents, pedestrian accidents, uninsured motorist claims, slip and fall accidents, premises liability, defamation, fraud, and coverage disputes. John believes that the best way to service his clients is by accommodating their unique needs and goals. He resides in Berkeley and is happy to meet with clients at a location convenient to them in the East Bay or throughout the Bay area. He focuses on resolving disputes through a variety of creative and cost-effective solutions which larger firms cannot provide. He has substantial experience in both state and federal courts, at the trial and appellate levels. |
