Katie Pierce | Commerce City Divorce & Family Law Lawyer

Katie graduated Cum Laude in 2000 with a BA in Philosophy with a pre-law emphasis.  Upon graduating as a Distinguished Military Graduate, Katie was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Military Intelligence (MI) Branch, United States Army.  While serving on Active Duty, she was stationed at Fort Hood, TX and Fort Meade, MD and deployed to the Horn of Africa.  She ended her Active Duty time at the National Security Agency (NSA) in 2005.

In 2008, she rejoined the Active Army Reserve and served in several units in Denver, CO.  Katie deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 and was in charge of a combined, NATO socio-economic team at the Combined Joint Intelligence Operations Center-Afghanistan.

Katie is currently a Major in the Army Reserve.

While pursuing her Juris Doctor degree, Katie focused on negotiation and mediation, family law, real estate law, environmental law, and sustainable development.

Katie has over 14 years of leadership and analytic experience, capable of achieving results through creativity and innovation, leveraging critical thinking and sound decision making skills.

Katie currently volunteers with Metro Volunteer Lawyers, Colorado Lawyers for Colorado Veterans, and she is an associate with Colorado Mediation Services.
