  THERE ARE TOO MANY CASES TO WRITE UP HERE, THIS IS BUT A FEW: Case Conclusion: December 2015 Practice Area: Family Law Outcome: Got protective order petition thrown out and got my MALE client possessory custody of his 3 minor children, all under the age of 5. Case Conclusion Date: October 2014 Practice Area: Family Law Outcome: Got client's child support reduced by 2/3'rds. Client was fighting a revocation order after having already been found in contempt of court for non-payment of child support. Client hired us the day before the hearing. We were able to not only keep client out of the certain jail time he was facing but got his support reduced 2/3 of what he was ordered to pay originally. We also kept on top of the process at court and by being diligent discovered an error that would have cost client to be there 3 more hours than he needed too. Needless to say client was very happy with the outcome. Case Conclusion Date: September 2013 Practice Area: Immigration Outcome: Adjustment of status granted Client had entered the u.s. illegally and had never had an application filed for him. U.S. Citizen wife had medical issues and based on that we were able to get a waiver approved for client to get his green card. Case Conclusion Date: July 2013 Practice Area: Immigration Outcome: Hardship Waiver Granted in Removal Proceedings. Client from the Eastern Block a former Asylee was arrested at the airport after returning from vacation for a crime that had been committed after being granted asylum. Client was not eligible for bond by the immigration court. We successfully filed a parole application with ICE and got client out. We prepared a new asylum application and a stand alone hardship waiver as a back up. We worked and prepped 2 experts familiar with country conditions for trial. We negotiated with the government attorney to put on the waiver case first and if that was not successful we would go into the asylum case. The hardship was to the client's u.s. citizen minor child. Our waiver was successful and the immigration judge reinstated the clients' green card. Case Conclusion Date: June 2013 Practice Area: Immigration Outcome: Green card granted after being illegal over 15 years and after petitioner had died. Client contacted me after having an approved I-130 petition from over 10 years ago. Her husband had petitioned for her and then died. We were able to use substitution and an immigration law to not only get client her green card but her 3 adult children. Case Conclusion Date: March 2013 Practice Area: Immigration Outcome: Citizenship Approved after being denied twice. Client had applied for citizenship on her own a year before consulting us. Application was denied for lack of good moral character. I disagreed with the interpretation by uscis. I got client to file a fresh application with us, same result. Client wanted to give up. I told client they were wrong and convinced her to sue them in Federal Court after our appeal with them was also denied. After suing them in court, the govt. attorney agreed to send the case back to uscis who subsequently approved the citizenship application. This approval was critical because client's husband was facing federal criminal charges and could only get out of federal jail if we could show we could adjust his status as he was a visa overstay for the last 20 years. Once we got client's citizenship, her husband was then able to adjust status also and is now out of federal detention. Case Conclusion Date: August 2012 Practice Area: Immigration Outcome: Client's crime committed 15 years ago was preventing him from adjusting status on a petition filed by his u.s. citizen son. WE filed a writ of Mandamus to vacate the conviction based on the fact that client did not understand he could be deported by pleading guilty. We attended a hearing on our Writ and the judge ruled in our favor. Client is now in the process of getting his green card and so is his wife who has been here illegally for 2 decades and married him after his son applied for him but we are grandfathering her in under 245i. The law passed by president Clinton in the late 1980s.
