Todd Slobin is a Partner with Shellist Lazarz, LLP. Mr. Slobin is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and practices employment law in federal and state courts. Mr. Slobin is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the Southern District of Texas, and the Western District of Texas, and all Texas state courts. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Houston Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Slobin is a council member and is the former Chairman of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Houston Bar Association. In 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, Mr. Slobin received the honor of being named a Super Lawyer® by Law & Politics and the publishers of Texas Monthly Magazine.

Mr. Slobin provides advice to clients regarding severance agreements, covenants not to compete, non-solicitation agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Mr. Slobin also represents clients in matters involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act, the Texas Payday Act, the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, Chapter 451 of the Texas Labor Code (workers' compensation retaliation). He also provides advice regarding numerous state law claims including breach of contract, quantum meruit claims, and defamation. In addition, he represents clients before the American Arbitration Association, and administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and the Texas Workforce Commission - Civil Rights Division.
