Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

Assisted a scientist working with rare diseases with a National Interest Waiver (NIW) petition. The NIW was filed and approved 2 months later by US Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) allowing the scientist to obtain a green card and continue the work that is so beneficial to the United States.

  • Attorney Maiona has testified before the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Education regarding immigration law and procedure and has been recognized by Family Courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island as a qualified expert in Immigration Law. Mr. Maiona is currently the Chair of AILA’s Military Assistance Program Task Force; 2013 AILA Annual Conference Committee Chair for the Family Section; and AILA liaison to the Immigration Court in Boston.
