Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
My most rewarding case was representing a 96 year old woman. Her lender was going to foreclose on her home after giving her a tainted loan. After litigating against her lender, we not only halted the foreclosure but rewrote the loan to very favorable terms. Now my client can live in her home for the rest of her life knowing she can afford her monthly payment.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should seek a out a lawyer who is competent in the area they need help in. Clients should also find a lawyer who has time to regularly communicate with them and time to prosecute their case.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
While local knowledge is important, it is also as important to have a lawyer who can resolve a matter through a practical approach.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
The consultation should advise the client what are legal issues and how they may be resolved.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
The information needed at the initial consultation depends on what type case the client has. If it is a personal injury matter, police reports, hospital records, pictures are helpful. If it is a real estate matter, then contracts deeds, ect. But, the most important part of the initial consultation is having a conversation with the potential client to hear the story and ask questions.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Clients who retain me will have the benefit of an attorney who has practiced in many general areas of the law. I have cross-over knowledge and experience that helps me to think and explore unique options, alternatives and resolutions.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
By far, the most rewarding aspect of my job is having a client tell me that they are relieved of the stress they had prior to seeing me.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Outside of the law, my interests are raising my family and doing activities with loved-ones and friends.
Are you involved in your community?
My community activities are donating to the less fortunate and involvement with Catholic charities.
