Recently our client was badly injured in a car accident. The other driver who caused the accident was only insured for minimal coverage. Our investigation resulted in learning that he had substantial assets and income. We obtained a court order prohibiting the destruction of his vehicle-a BMW with 400hp since we knew that there was a speed recording device in the vehicle that recorded his speed at impact(which we believed to be approximately 55 in a 25 mph zone!). We demanded payment from him in excess of his insurance coverage. Thankfully for our client, a genuinely decent guy, we were able to get substantial money from his personal assets.

Telephone consultations can be invaluable. In vehicle accident cases we instruct a potential client what to do to make certain that their "No Fault" insurance coverage is properly preserved, we can arrange for a field investigator to interview witnesses, photograph the accident scene and the vehicles involved ( before they are destroyed). We also work with our clients to advise them what to do/ what not to do after an accident. Most don't know that it is legal for the other guy's insurance company to call you and record your conversation without telling you! Another great advantage of a phone call is to advise a potential client about crucial time limitations to commence their claim.

Our attorneys are heavily involved in our communities. We serve on boards of Long Island corporations, work with union members( ie.
