If I believe I can help, I will let that person know. If I believe they do not have a claim that is in their best interest, or if they do not need a lawyer, I will say so.

I love to hunt and fish, watch football and enjoy live music of all types.

I support my community by contributing to disabled veterans organizations, supporting local symphonies and I also have a passion for ending homelessness. No one should be homeless and without an opportunity for housing, change and medical treatment in our current society.

• WOOD v PUBLISH
  Attorney for the Plaintiff in a case that was filed in Alabama but ruled to be heard in Tennessee. The Plaintiffs are the parents of the decedent, Landon Wood, who died after eating a cookie from one of the Defendant's stores. Said Decedent had a severe tree nut allergy and died after taking three bites of the cookie sold by the Decedent. According to the Plaintiffs, the mother of the Decedent asked and was specifically told that the product did not contain nuts. The Plaintiffs assert that Publix is at fault and that their son's death could have been avoided had the company published the ingredients on the bakery bag. The Defendant filed a motion to dismiss, however it was denied and the case is ongoing.

• SURLES V. CITY OF ASHVILLE
  Appellee: Attorney for the appellee, the City of Ashville and the American Legion. At issue is an ordinance passed by the city of Ashville which regulated bingo games within the city. The sheriff's department appealed this decision arguing that the new ordinance allowed for groups like the American Legion to operate illegal gaming. Upon review of he complaints, the ordinance and all the relevant legal history, the court found that there was no err on the part of the original decision. The judgement was affirmed and the appeal dismissed.
