Cases:
Insurance Company v. Construction and Remodeling Company - Case involved voluntary payment by a insurer for an occurrence, which was not covered under the terms of insurance policy.  Insurer instituted legal action against the alleged wrongdoer.  As, in Illinois, voluntary payments are not recoverable the insurer was not able to recover its payment. Result: summary judgment for defendant.

Bank v. Individual Borrower - mortgage foreclosure matter.  Nearly a year and a half after mortgage foreclosure judgment, sale and confirmation of sale have been entered by Cook County Circuit Court, second lien - holder discovered said judgment.  Second lien-holder was not properly served and petitioned to vacate said judgment and other orders.  Result:  petition to vacate granted, judgment of foreclosure, confirmation of sale vacated.
