ABOUT ATTORNEY DITUSA

Attorney DiTusa was born and raised in Buffalo, NY .  He grew up in a large Italian-Catholic family which stressed family values, work ethic and achievement.  As an undergraduate he worked as a legislative assistant in the New York State Assembly and graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1991.  He went on to graduate from the Toledo College of Law in 1994 and he now has licenses to practice law in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts .  

For the first five years, he practiced law in Buffalo, New York and worked for the largest personal injury firm in New York State .  In that capacity he represented members of various trade unions in bodily injury claims, workers' compensation claims and social security disability claims (including members of the United Transportation Union, Communications Workers of America, Civil Service Employees Union, Commercial Food Workers of America, and Nurses United). Upon moving to Massachusetts in 2000, Attorney DiTusa worked for one of the premier personal injury firms in Eastern Massachusetts and focused his practice on litigating construction site injuries.  He has experience litigating catastrophic injury claims against the largest contractors in the world, some of which were involved in Boston's multi-billion dollar highway project known as the Big Dig.    

Attorney DiTusa moved to Western Massachusetts in 2003 and recently started his own firm, located at 55 State Street, in the heart of downtown Springfield. He has dedicated his practice to helping the hard working families of the Western Massachusetts recover losses incurred in accidents.  

In October 2007, he accepted an appointment with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Attorney General's Office to act as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Childhood Lead Paint Protection Program. 

Attorney DiTusa has successfully represented injured clients in Federal and State Courts in Massachusetts and New York.  He has appeared for injured clients at Administrative Boards in Springfield, Boston, Fall River, Taunton, Worcester, and across New York from Manhattan to Buffalo. He has extensive experience representing clients in motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents, product liability claims, construction site accidents, dog bite cases, lemon law claims, workers' compensation hearings and disability claims before the Social Security Administration. 

Attorney DiTusa has a Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo, College of Law (1994) and a Bachelor Arts from the State University of New York at Buffalo (1991).  He is a current member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys (2005 President's Award Winner) as well as the American Association for Justice (formerly American Trial Lawyers Association).  He is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Hampden County Bar Association, where he serves on the Board of Directors as a Section chairman. 

Attorney DiTusa works hard to be involved in the local community and frequently volunteers his time to community outreach programs sponsored by the local and state bar association.  He has organized meals for the homeless, he is an active member of the Springfield Jewish Community Center and is a United Way Volunteer.  He currently lives in Longmeadow, MA with his wife Jodi and two daughters, Jordan and Noa.
