About Steve
Steve R. Graber is a partner of the Firm. He is a member of the Trust and Estates, Tax and Real Estate Departments. His practice specializes in sophisticated estate planning, estate administration, philanthropic planning and family business succession planning.
Mr. Graber represents clients in planning both inter vivos and testamentary distribution of assets employing effective tax saving techniques and strategies. Typical matters include the use of complex wills, trusts including irrevocable trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, grantor retained unitrusts, life insurance trusts, defective trusts, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, and family limited partnerships to take advantage of estate minimization techniques using valuation discounts.
He has represented executors and trustees in the administration of trusts and estates, as well as having served in many instances as an executor and trustee for clients. Mr. Graber also served on the adjunct faculty of the University of Memphis for ten years instructing in Federal Gift and Estate tax law.
Mr. Graber graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. (with honors) in 1978, received his J.D. from the University of Memphis in 1981, and received his Masters of Law in Taxation from New York University in 1982
