Mr. Davis is a partner in the Business Department and a member of the firm's Real Estate and Institutional Finance Group. He has a broad-based structured real estate finance practice. He represents and advises institutional investors and lenders in structuring and negotiating a wide variety of structured transactions, including mezzanine loans, senior-subordinate participations, "B" notes and other co-lender and intercreditor arrangements.
He also has extensive experience in the areas of real estate workouts and loan portfolio acquisitions and dispositions.
Mr. Davis was a panel presenter at the 8th Annual Borrowers' & Investors' Forum on Mezzanine Loans & Preferred Equity Financing in New York City on December 1 and 2, 2008. The presentation was attended by over 500 people and covered the practical and legal issues surrounding workouts, defaults and bankruptcies for multi-tranche structures. He recently co-authored two White and Williams News Alerts titled "Forbearance Agreements and Waiving the Protections of Automatic Stay" and "Covered Bonds, Final Policy Statement from the FDIC."
Mr. Davis received his B.A., magna cum laude, in 1985 from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also received his M.A. in 1986. He received his J.D. in 1989 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Mr. Davis has been AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system.
