Bill graduated, cum laude, from the University of Alabama in 1989, and from the University of Alabama, School of Law in 1992. Thereafter, Bill practiced law in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for two years with the firm of Pradat, McGuire & Smith. A lifelong resident of Chambers County, Alabama, Bill returned to Lanett in 1994, to establish “The Law office of William L. Smith”.
