About David
Mr. Haase is a partner in the Commercial Litigation Department. He is the Firm's Hiring Partner and the youngest member of the Firm's Executive Committee. His areas of expertise include warranty litigation, product liability, complex commercial transactions, and high exposure personal injury lawsuits. Mr. Haase's clients include Subaru of America, Hyundai Motor America, and Lotus Cars USA . He pioneered the use of litigation strategy seminars for his automobile manufacturer clients, and he has lectured extensively across the country on his proactive approach to defending warranty lawsuits. In 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, Mr. Haase was selected in a survey of his peers as Pennsylvania Rising Star attorney by Law & Politics magazine.
Mr. Haase received his B.A. from Amherst College, Amherst, Massachusetts, in 1991. While at Amherst College, he was elected Captain of its nationally-ranked soccer team. He received both the Eli Marsh Award and the F.A.A. Award in 1990. Mr. Haase obtained his J.D. from The College of William and Mary's Marshall-Wythe School of Law, Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1994. He is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has been admitted to practice in other jurisdictions on a pro hac vice basis.
Mr. Haase was appointed to the Philadelphia Bar Association's Compulsory Arbitration Committee in 1996. He serves as chairman of civil arbitration panels in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Within White and Williams, Mr. Haase is a charter member of the Firm's Diversity Committee and in his capacity as the Firm's Hiring Partner, he oversees the Summer Associate Program and all related recruiting efforts. Outside the office, Mr. Haase enjoys coaching youth soccer and competing in triathlons.
