I consulted with Kathleen for a case. I feel her office and her office staff were very nice. Everyone seemed to be smiling and such when I walked in the door! Everyone seemed very professional and courteous. I feel Kathleen was concerned about my issues and that I wasn't just another retainer. I think she did a wonderful job in helping me get what I wanted. She's a wonderful attorney and would recommend her services to anyone.

If you are looking for legal help, I would advise that you look somewhere else. You honestly would get more help, and better legal advice by going on Yahoo questions. After you have paid the retainer, their customer service goes downhill very quickly. Even worse than that they didn't even attempt to make good on any of the promises they made in the beginning , prior to me retaining them for counsel. They did absolutely NO legal work, whatsoever on my case. Which even if they wanted to do so, would have been nearly impossible, considering the fact that neither of the attorney's spoke with me at all, not even once. So they knew absolutely none of the pertinent facts in regards to my case. They didn't even know any non-relevant facts or matter of factly anything at all regarding my case. It was obvious that they were unprepared, and in no condition to even fathom proceeding further in a legally responsible manner, so every time they advised me that we should ask the Judge for a continuance, to give us (The Law Offices of Kathleen G. Alvarado) time to get their act together, which unfortunately never happened. I didn't really have much of a choice, considering there was no way I could move forward with there lack of preparedness, which is being very generous considering they didn't do a single thing to even try to prepare. After going along with their advice to delay things the first 3 times, the 4th time they tried to get me to go along with another delay, I refused and told them to just go ahead and set the case for trial. They of course advised against that, considering to this point they have still not went over discovery, or even discussed my case with me. I was tired of stalling with no strategy whatsoever, so I decided to move things forward, so I gave them clear orders to set a date for trial, as I was planning on dropping them as counsel for obvious reasons. They couldn't (didn't want to) even come through on this simple task, and rather than getting a trial date set as they were explicitly instructed to do, instead did the very thing that I did not want them to do and asked the Judge for another continuance. Now the worst part of this whole fiasco, is that for this level of incompetence, in which you can see they did nothing at all to help me or improve my legal situation, only to find out that they were going to try to defraud me out of the remaining balance from my $3,000 retainer, after I let them know that I was going to be relieving them as counsel. I have asked for an itemized expense sheet, which they said they would provide me. 10 days later and still the only thing I have is frustration. Do your due dilligence, and save yourself the money as well as heartache, like I should've done.

Kathleen helped my family SO much when we were in a major time of need! She is an AMAZING attorney! nShe is very experienced and she is very intimidating! If you want an attorney to fight for you and fight for what is right, she is the one to call! She does not back down and she is not intimated!
