State Farm case and as Amicus Curiae representative for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association in the argument of several successor cases before the Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court.  Jim started his career handling business tort cases, some of which resulted in important decisions by the Georgia appellate courts dealing with tortious interference with contract, conversion, and wrongful deprivation of the use of property.  He has tried over 150 civil cases to verdict, and has won numerous verdicts over $100 million, over $10 million, and over $1 million in several states.  He has set the record for verdicts in Georgia on four separate occasions.  He has handled a variety of cases.  In fact, the Georgia record verdicts involved a medical malpractice case, a tractor trailer/negligent entrustment case, a products liability case, and a business tort case.
