Joshua D. Roy is an attorney at The Maughan Law Firm and is licensed to practice law in Louisiana. Joshua was born and raised in the Baton Rouge area and currently resides in Central, Louisiana. Joshua began his association with the firm as a law clerk during law school, and continued with the firm as a lawyer after graduation. Joshua’s practice areas include personal injury (automobile accidents, premise liability, slip and falls, etc.), family law (divorce, custody, child support, spousal support), probate/succession law, home foreclosure defense, civil property law, real estate transactions, business organization and litigation, wills and trusts, contract disputes, and general civil litigation. He has litigated cases in state courts throughout Louisiana and has conducted oral argument in state appellate courts and the Louisiana Supreme Court.

Joshua received his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Southern University Law Center graduating first his class in 2012. While in law school, Joshua served as a senior editor on the Southern University Law Review. Joshua is a 2008 graduate of Louisiana State University, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science.  Joshua is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and Baton Rouge Bar Association.  Joshua serves on the board of directors for NephCure Kidney International and The Kiwanis Club of The Oaks in Baton Rouge.  Joshua is an active member in his community and church.
