QUESTIONNAIRE
We represented a mother whose son was killed by a hit and run driver. We were able to use video from truck stops and convenience stores along the highway where he was killed and locate the truck and driver. The driver was prosecuted and we obtained a substantial settlement for the estate of the deceased son.
How did you build a successful practice?I was told early on by Gene Baim, the founder of our law firm , that the secret to always having clients was simple. Put the client interest first in every decision and you will always come out ahead in the long run.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?Someone who listens to you and someone willing to tell you the truth even when that is not what you wanted to hear.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Local knowledge can be critical in getting the best results in any legal situation. Knowing the judges you will appear before, the agencies you will be required to deal with can provide insight to enable you to give your client the best advice in any situation. The law maybe the same everywhere but the decision makers are not.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?Most of the time our free consultations are focused on whether the potential client has a legal matter worth their time and expense pursuing or if another method would be better for them. We focus on helping the client analyze their problem using our years of experience and specialized knowledge.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?Basic contact information, the nature of the clients legal problem, any deadlines that may exist and wether or not the client has any records for review.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?Experience of an 85 year old firm and our client centered approach.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?Helping people navigate the legal system and giving them choices. Representing individuals and small businesses means I get a lot of Thank You notes and personal referrals.
What are your other interests in addition to law?Reading, hunting, fishing training my dogs.
Are you involved in your community?I have served on numerous commissions and boards for the city, county and state. I have been active in The Arkansas Bar, Arkansas Trial Lawyers and my church.
