Melissa Fischer | Brookfield Accident and Injury Lawyer

Melissa Fischer graduated from Marquette University Law School earning her Juris Doctorate with a certificate in litigation in May of 2015. While in law school, Melissa was actively involved in the Dispute Resolution Society and Client Skills Board. Understanding that a vast majority of civil cases settle prior to trial, Melissa was committed to learning how to effectively represent clients using various forms of alternative dispute resolution. Melissa represented Marquette on both regional and national levels at the American Bar Association’s Representation in Mediation competition and served on the Client Skills Executive Board as Vice-President of Coaching.

Melissa was also involved in the Moot Court Association during her time at Marquette. She served as a board member and represented Marquette at the Evan A. Evans Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition in Madison, WI.

As a third year law student, Melissa completed an internship with the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office where she gained valuable courtroom experience and further refined her litigation skills.

Prior to law school, Melissa attended the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. She graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in May of 2012.

Melissa is a current member of the Wisconsin State Bar and Wisconsin Association for Justice. She is active in the New Lawyers Section of the Wisconsin Association for Justice and recently co-wrote an article for the Association’s quarterly publication, The Verdict.

Outside of the practice of law, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Prior to beginning her legal career, she spent much of her time fulfilling her passion for dance which began at the early age of four. In 2013-2014, Melissa was a member of Wisconsin Professional Dance, Inc., an organization that is not only focused on the art of dance, but giving back to the community as well. During her time with Wisconsin Professional Dance, Melissa volunteered at a variety of charity events in the greater Milwaukee area. She continues to participate in the organization’s annual fundraising event, Power of Purple, which raises money for the Pancreatic Cancer Network.

Melissa joined the team at Groth Law Firm in 2015. She is dedicated to representing injured people and specializes in multiple areas of personal injury law, including car accidents. Melissa works diligently to offer personal, individualized attention to each of her clients and is committed to providing skillful and compassionate representation every step of the way.
