QUESTIONNAIRE
I have, in the last year, won some significant cases. To name but a few, I achieved a NOT GUILTY verdict in an Attempted Homicide case and a NOT GUILTY in a Sexual Assault trial. I have also had numerous clients found not guilty of serious charges they were facing due to non-trial work.
How did you build a successful practice?Building a successful practice takes a lot of time and hard work with attention to details and client needs. I provide all of this, and have for over 26 years.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?Clients need a lawyer that knows the law, who cares for and listens to the client, and uses the law to advocate for the client.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Knowing your court, your county, the prosecutor, and the system players is critical to achieving the client's goals.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?I provide a far greater wealth of information in my phone consults than most other lawyers. It is case dependent, but we provide a lot of information on the phone. Indeed, I provide so much information on the phone that I do not often give free office consults.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?Unlike other lawyers in the area, I am one of the oldest and most experienced. I also have the most training and certifications in OWI defense of any lawyer in this part of WI. I am actively involved in a number of Community Service organizations so as to give back time to the community, and let people see that there is more to life than just work.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?The best part of my job is when I am able to reunite or keep families together due to my efforts to protect a person from the power of the State. That is what is the best part of doing criminal defense work.
What are your other interests in addition to law?I have many interests outside of work - travel, triathlons, reading, and time with family.
Are you involved in your community?Yes, I am on the board of several organizations in my community.
