Established in 1989, Elkington Law specializes in consumer and small business bankruptcy. We file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. In Marin County we file Chapter 13 exclusively. Our main office is located in the Historic Tribune Tower in downtown Oakland, with a satellite office in El Sobrante.

I have been helping folks resolve their debt and credit issues for over 20 years. I explore all debt solutions available to my clients, including bankruptcy, offers and compromises, loan modifications and other creative approaches.

I see the “big picture.” I help clients understand that there is no shame in having debt. Bad things really do happen to good people, often far beyond their personal control. I help clients see the “light at the end of the tunnel”. I can explain a very complex system in a very understandable manner so that folks can take back control of their lives. My style is to get as much information from the client as possible about their specific issues and to explain the various options available. Every person’s situation is different, and every client’s situation will be fully reviewed with me. I want clients to leave my office feeling better than they did when they walked in. You will meet with me personally.
