Michael Willis founded this firm with his brother, Shaun Patrick Willis. Their father, Hon. Frank D. Willis, is the probate judge for Van Buren County, and Michael proudly carries on the family tradition in estate law by focusing his practice in estate planning, probate and estate and trust administration, and estate litigation. He also has a concentrated practice in corporate law and business succession planning, along with real estate development and transactions. Michael is registered as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois, and is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Michigan. Michael received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Before forming Willis Law, Michael worked for Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt & Howlett LLP and Kerr, Russell, Weber, PLC.

Robert R. Jones, III earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2011. He graduated in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in English and creative writing from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and in 1994 with a masters degree in English from the University of Houston. During his years of practice, Robert has represented private individuals, small businesses and corporations. His current areas of practice include criminal law, probate law, civil litigation, and family law. While in law school, Robert was a member of the Black Law Students Association mock trial team and participated every summer in the Gerald Treece Summer Mock Trial Academy as an advocate. Robert is a Houston native, a former college English instructor, and a dedicated community servant. Robert currently serves on the Executive Board of the Black Alumni of Dartmouth Association. Robert serves as class representative and class agent for the St. John’s School Class of 1985. Robert 's law firm also operates the Texas Freedom Project Homeless Outreach that seeks to help homeless in Texas and put an end to poverty. As such, Robert always offers reasonable rates and payment plans to clients, and from time to time will provide pro bono services to persons in need to legal help.

Upon graduation from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York, classmates Evan N. Pickus and Howard S. Landsberg sought to fulfill a vision- the formation of their own law firm. Originally intending to concentrate in the areas of tax and estates, Mr. Pickus opened his office in East Brunswick, New Jersey, and Mr. Landsberg opened his office in Long Island, New York, with the intention of working together to serve the needs of residents of the respective areas. Having a prior background in accounting, Mr. Landsberg felt after a period of time that his aspirations could be better fulfilled in the area of taxation and advisory accountancy. He, therefore, left the practice and went on to a very successful career in those areas. With his practice already established in New Jersey, Mr. Pickus decided to maintain the firm and has continued practicing under the Pickus & Landsberg name since 1994. Circumstances often dictate the direction of business. Contacts and clients needing real estate services tended to gravitate to the firm, and Mr. Pickus found his niche in the area of real estate law. Over the past twenty-five years, however, real estate clients developed other needs, requiring the firm to expand its areas of practice. We currently serve our clients, not only with real estate matters but in the areas of bankruptcy, family law, corporate matters, civil litigation, and estate planning. We have two goals in our practice. The first is to be a true “family practice” – to have the ability, in most situations, to serve the legal needs of our clients. Certainly, circumstances arise where clients require representation outside our expertise, and in such cases, we have a wide network of colleagues with whom we can entrust the representation of our clients. New Jersey native Kevin A. Buchan concentrates his legal practice in the areas of criminal defense, administrative law, and ethics proceedings. He regularly handles all phases of criminal litigation at both the state and federal levels. Kevin’s interest in criminal defense work began in law school when he served as an intern in the office of the Union County Prosecutor. From that time on, he knew that he wanted to devote his career to criminal law. Following law school, Kevin served as a criminal law clerk for the Honorable William L’E. Wertheimer, J.S.C. This experience gave him further insight into the workings of the criminal justice system. Kevin takes pleasure in his ability to help others, particularly at a time in their lives when they may have stumbled or made mistakes. Colleagues describe Kevin as practical, approachable, and knowledgeable in the day-to-day practice of law. When he is not working, Kevin, a former member of the Rutgers Varsity Lacrosse team, he enjoys watching Rutgers football and coaching his kids’ sports teams.

Marc L. Shea graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 1979. He was formerly associated with Law Offices of Lester G. Sachs, where he practiced general civil law, with an emphasis in mechanics lien law (1979-1982) and then as a partner with Popelka, Allard, McCowan & Jones (“PAMJ”) and Popelka, Allard, McCowan & Bondonno (“PAMB”) (1982 to 2006). Shea & McIntyre is the successor firm to PAMB.
