Megone Trewick is an associate attorney with Bryan Fagan, PLLC, and focuses her practice on Estate Planning and Probate Law issues, and Family Law matters. Dennis Spurling is a native of Southern California. He is a graduate of Grambling State University, (B.S. 1997), The Southern University Law Center (J.D. 2000) and the Tulane University School of Law, (LL.M. 2001). He began his legal career as an associate at a small Plaintiff oriented personal injury firm in New Orleans, Louisiana. where he has been licensed to practice law since he was sworn in October 2000. Mr. Spurling is a plaintiff’s oriented civil litigation attorney focused on serious injury claims resulting from motor vehicle, 18-wheeler, motorcycle wrecks, along with dog bite and trip and fall cases. Mr. Spurling now is the owner of a multi-jurisdictional civil litigation firm based in Houston, Texas. With a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management from UH Clear Lake, Ricky Whitehead brings a robust academic background to our team. In addition to their legal qualifications, Ricky Whitehead is a Certified Mediator in Texas, showcasing their commitment to conflict resolution. Born and raised in Houston, TX, Ricky Whitehead is deeply rooted in the local community and actively volunteers with the Trans Legal Aid Clinic TX (TLACT), a non-profit organization that assists trans and non-binary individuals with name and gender marker corrections in Texas. Outside of work, Ricky Whitehead enjoys spending their free time cooking, especially baking, and playing board games with friends. They share their home with a German Shepherd named Poe, who adds a special joy to their life.

Charles W. Goehringer, Jr. joined Germer in 2001. Charlie graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont with a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering degree in 1980. He received a Masters of Business Administration from Colorado University in Boulder in 1983 and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1995. Charlie began his career with Gulf States Utilities Co. as an engineer in 1981 and became a Unit Superintendent responsible for the operation and maintenance of a 488 MW oil and gas fired electrical generating unit at Sabine Station. In 1988, he was hired by Quantum Chemical Company as a project engineer and became a Maintenance Superintendent in 1991. Charlie began his legal career at the law firm of MehaffyWeber, P.C. in 1995. He is general counsel for a publicly traded company on the NYSE responsible for litigation matters, contract negotiations and SEC compliance. He has extensive experience in business law, construction litigation and patent infringement litigation. He routinely represents employers in OSHA investigations and gross negligence claims. Charlie also represents governmental entities in a variety of matters including business transactions and litigation. He is a member of the Business Law and Construction Law sections of the State Bar of Texas, and Jefferson County Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Texas and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas. Charlie has been a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas since 1986. He serves as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau and is a member of the Texas Water Conservation Association. Charlie practices in the areas of patent litigation, corporate/SEC, business disputes, commercial litigation, environmental litigation, OSHA defense, real estate transactions and litigation, sale/acquisition transactions, and landlord/tenant disputes.

Kate K. Leverett concentrates in public entity and administrative law and represents local government units including cities, counties, port and navigation districts, river and water authorities, special districts, economic development corporations and emergency services districts. Kate has advised her clients on a wide range of matters, including, but not limited to, economic incentives, zoning and land use, open meetings, public information, transportation reinvestment zones, city charter adoption and amendment, easement and right-of-way acquisition, annexation and boundary disputes, employment issues and civil service, procurement, conflicts of interest and nepotism, elections, municipal court prosecution, development agreements, ordinance and contract drafting, code enforcement, agenda review and attendance at meetings, and administrative proceedings with the Public Utility Commission.
