Who is Albert E. Norato, Jr.? He is not just some white-collared reclusive lawyer who works for the nice sports care and lavish lifestyle. Mr. Norato is a well-grounded, honest, and dedicated man who fights with a legal passion to represent those in need and uphold justice. Al was originally born and raised in the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. In his early life, he worked for his family business at an Italian-American restaurant in Federal Hill, Providence, RI. Feeling a strong desire to do more than just serve people, Albert decided to enter a career where he not only served the people but would risk his life to protect them. At the age of 21, Al joined the Providence police department. While in the police department, Albert continued to better himself and look for ways to further his career. Within six and a half years, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant while and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Roger Williams University majoring in the Administration of Justice. Ultimately, he earned a Master of Science degree in the Administration of Justice from Salve Regina University. Within 10 years of joining the force, Albert felt that there were many to protect and serve his community than the traditional law enforcement role and decided to pursue a career in law. Albert moved to St. Paul Minnesota where he attended and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. He was also a member of the William Mitchell Law review for two years. During his law school career, he multitasked as a volunteer for the defense counsel as well as an intern for the honorable judge Hon. Robert Lynn in Hennepin County, primarily working on several high profile cases that involved the 1992 assassination of a Minneapolis police officer Jerome Haaf. Eventually, Albert moved back to the East Coast and settled in Suffolk County. In 2000, he joined the Suffolk County Legal Aid Society as a staff attorney for the Family Law Bureau, where he handled a variety of cases. Along with his casework, he handled his own appeals in a truly dedicated fashion. In 2001, he was transferred to the District Court Bureau where he worked in general trial parts and was ultimately permitted to become a member of the D-35 Felony Team. In 2003, Albert decided to open his own legal practice where he handles predominantly every type of criminal action in the State of New York. Outside of his work, Albert Norato Jr. is a Distinguished Past Governor for the New York District of Kiwanis International, a service-oriented international organization whose mission statement is: A worldwide organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time.

Alan Sack is a Registered Patent Attorney and an experienced intellectual property attorney. A graduate of MIT and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Alan helps his clients protect their patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets in disputes before district courts across the United States, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (US PTO), as well as before the United States International Trade Commission (US ITC). Alan has also handled matters related to copyright infringement actions in the music industry and been successful in taking down infringing content for music posted on various Internet websites under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. (DMCA). He has also successfully conducted arbitrations under ICANN’s Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution (UDRP) arbitration procedures. Alan is a member of the Federal Bar Association and is part of a team of three senior patent litigators that has taken on an initiative to provide the district courts designated to participate in the Patent Cases Pilot Program (PCPP) with a series of in-depth and interactive multi-session presentations on the relevant substantive and procedural aspects of the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act. The sessions look at the how the new patent act affects the conduct of patent litigations before the U.S. district courts and the interplay between district court litigation and the new post-registration proceedings before the USPTO. Alan and his colleagues have presented before the judges, magistrate-judges and law clerks of the Southern District of New York, and the Eastern District of New York and have contributed to the drafting of the local patent rules that are shared by these courts.
