My Interest in criminal law is rooted in one thing -- my desire to help people. I grew up in Midland, Texas, where I received a bachelor's degree in criminology from the University of Texas. Later, I was awarded an academic scholarship to the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where I made the Dean's List and honor roll and received my law degree. After completing a comprehensive internship at the East Lansing, Michigan, firm of Bodwin & Fuzak, P.C., I worked as a civil contract attorney for Daffer McDaniel, LLP in Austin, Texas on a large class action lawsuit. Afterward, I served as a criminal and family law attorney at an established law firm in Georgetown, Texas. The latter experience found me defending clients on the wide spectrum of criminal law charges I address in my current independent practice. My success in this area included helping clients suffering from mental illness receive a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity. The tremendous experience and knowledge I gained in daily negotiations with local prosecutors and courts combined with my ongoing desire to help people protect their liberties in the face of criminal charges now drive everything I do in my own law office. She grew up in the Red Oak area (close to Dallas) and now resides in Fort Worth with her husband and three children. Justin D. After exposing the poor safety history of the trucking company, they agreed to settle the case for $1,950,000 with a client recovery of $1,025,000.  Represented a six year old Austin girl who sustained a brain injury at a local Austin business.  Prior to trial, the local business agreed to settle the case for $250,000 with a client recovery of $125,000.  Represented a Buda family that was involved in a head on automobile collision.  The husband and wife received spinal injuries from the impact of the collision. Shane M. Boasberg was born and raised in New Orleans, LA and moved to the Lone Star State to attend The University of Texas in Austin, TX. After receiving undergraduate degrees in Government and Business from the University of Texas in Austin, TX; Mr. Boasberg attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX. While attending law school, Shane worked as a law clerk for the prestigious law firm of Gallagher, Lewis, Downey, and Kim. During this time, he gained experience in legal and appellate research and writing and trial preparation working on the largest commercial litigation civil settlements recorded in United States jurisprudence history. Shane graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2002 and immediately made an impact in the legal field. He began his career at Heard, Robins, Cloud, Lubel, and Greenwood LLP in Houston, and in 2003, he returned to Austin, TX, to serve as General Counsel to the Honorable Senator Mario Gallegos at the Texas Senate. In this role, Shane’s legal acumen and drafting skills were put to the test as he provided legal advice, prepared opinions, bill analyses, briefs, and drafted bills and amendments for legislative consideration, serving the citizens of Texas with distinction.
