Dan has been practicing law since 1986. He began his career with the District Attorney’s Office followed by a term with the Enforcement Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Later, he became in-house counsel for an OTC securities registered Broker / Dealer. Prior to the formation of Levin Jacobson Japha, P.C. he counseled clients in private practice for many years. Dan has extensive experience in and focuses his practice on counseling businesses and handling partnership disputes; corporate law; private placement financing; regulatory compliance; business succession matters; mergers, acquisitions; employment issues; corporate and regulatory compliance; health care provider law; wills, estate and probate administration matters; divorce, custody family law and domestic partnership issues; personal injury accidents; and administrative law matters. He holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado and a J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law. Dan is a member of the Trust and Estate, Family Law, and Business Law sections of the Denver, Colorado, and American Bar Associations, has been admitted to the U.S. District Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He has written numerous articles on business law matters and has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations, and represents a wide range of companies, commercial enterprises, medical providers, business owners and individual clients. Accomplishments over his 30-year career include obtaining a multi-million dollar jury verdict against a major telecommunications company; obtaining a million-dollar business saving verdict on behalf of a family-owned metal fabricating company; achieving a six-figure settlement in a restaurant personal injury case involving dangerously hot coffee spilling on a customer; negotiating numerous multi-million dollar private placement financings, mergers and acquisitions; negotiating and litigating numerous company partnership disputes and settlements, and negotiating purchase, product and supply contracts on behalf of many prodigious businesses.

Erika Gebhardt practices exclusively family law and estate planning. Erika began her career in family law when she worked as an extern at the firm during the summer after her first year of law school (2010). After realizing her passion for this area, Erika continued by serving at the firm as a law clerk in the summer following her second year of law school (2011). Erika has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Political Economy from Colorado College, Colorado Springs, and was a 2012 graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she was a member of the Order of St. Ives. Erika has worked as a judicial intern in a courtroom with a domestic and civil docket. She also interned for Denver District Court Judge Robert McGahey, Jr., of the Second Judicial District, where she was able to gain valuable experience in motions practice and courtroom procedure. After graduating from law school, Erika worked at a local law firm practicing family law. Licensed to practice in the State of Colorado, Erika is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the CBA Young Lawyers Division. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Erika moved to Colorado in 2005. Erika enjoys volunteering and supporting her community through Metro Volunteer Lawyers and local events.

Jo Stone is a Colorado native, whose grandparents were homesteaders in eastern Colorado. Jo has both her bachelors and masters degrees in English literature as well as her law degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. Jo's practice focuses on estate and business planning, although she also has an extensive background in litigation of all kinds, including commercial, business, and personal matters. Her diverse background and experience allows her to approach all legal matters in a very circumspect and comprehensive manner that is somewhat unique in relation to the narrowly-focused niche firms prevalent today. Jo’s diversity also allows her to develop long lasting relationships with a wide variety of clients who may need different legal assistance through the years. In addition to practicing law, Jo is on the faculty of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Phoenix and has taught at a variety of other colleges and universities throughout her career in the areas of business and arts and sciences. Jo is an active member of the Rotary Club of Parker and has served as the President, Director of International projects, Director of Club Service, as well as holding various posts in Rotary District 5450. She is an active advocate of Rotary’s program to eradicate Polio worldwide. Outside of the office, Jo and her husband, Jim, enjoy spending lots of time with their large family, as well as writing, music and travel.

Kent Lee Freudenberg is a practicing lawyer in the state of Colorado.

After gaining legal experience prosecuting criminal cases in the County, Juvenile, and District Courts, Kevin went to the Douglas County office in 2002 and continued to handle cases in the District Courts, becoming a Senior Deputy in 2005. Kevin left the District Attorney’s Office in December 2006. That is when Kevin began his career of representing those charged with crimes. By focusing on criminal defense, Kevin provides personal and competent service to those who have been charged with a criminal act. Kevin’s skills in negotiation, understanding the legal issues and trial techniques provide his clients with a quality of representation that sets him apart from others.

Since entering private practice, Les Roos has specialized in commercial real estate and business law. He has practiced as a partner in a Washington, D.C. law firm, a partner in a firm that was one of Denver’s largest, and as founding member of a small specialty firm in Denver. He has been selected one of Colorado's "Super Lawyers" by Law & Politics and 5280 Denver's Magazine. In over 40 years as a lawyer, he has been involved in virtually every aspect of commercial and residential real estate. Although he concentrates on representation of small, entrepreneurial real estate entities, he has also represented numerous institutional lenders and real estate companies including being the lead attorney from start to finish, assemblage, redevelopment, construction, sale and leasing, for two large redevelopment projects in Aspen, Colorado – a mixed use residential/retail condominium project and a residential condominium/hotel project, both in excess of $100 million. Les has represented sellers and buyers in vacant and improved land sales and his leasing experience, on behalf of both landlords and tenants, includes office buildings, retail and industrial centers, and ground leases. He has prepared all types of condominium and other common interest ownership documents, representing both the project developers and owners associations. He also has extensive experience in negotiating construction contracts and subcontracts and resolving disputes pertaining to these contracts. He has negotiated and drafted loan documents for secured and unsecured lending transactions for both lenders and borrowers, including workouts of distressed properties and foreclosures. His practice includes all aspects of limited liability company, partnership, and corporate law, in formation as well as in disputes and dissolutions. He has also represented buyers and sellers in numerous business sale transactions. A graduate and Law Review Editor of the College of William & Mary School of Law, he has served in leadership positions in a number of community and charitable organizations. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Roos was a professional baseball player and has been inducted into the Temple University Athletic Hall of Fame.

During law school, Mr. Chayet's grandmother, Letty Milstein, was the principle party in one of the most controversial and public elder law cases in the state of Colorado. The Estate of Milstein v. Ayers, 955 P.2d 78 (Colo. App. 1998), is a landmark probate case which upholds and protects the right to counsel and due process of incapacitated adults in Colorado and has been codified into the Colorado Uniform Protective Proceedings Act (the guardianship and conservatorship laws). This experience was the impetus for Mr. Chayet's career long practice commitment to the field of elder law and probate litigation. Mr. Chayet is the past Chairman of the Elder Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association and the recipient of Colorado Super Lawyers 2011 Rising Star in Elder Law. Mr. Chayet's expertise in the area of elder law has also been demonstrated through his publishing in the areas of elder law as well as many public speaking appearances throughout Colorado.Mr. Chayet is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and a member of the Colorado Bar Association where fellow Colorado attorneys nominated Mr. Chayet to be a Fellow of the Colorado Bar Foundation. Mr. Chayet, born and raised in Denver, Colorado, is continuing in the footsteps of his family in assisting the philanthropic and civic community of Colorado, by serving on the board of many not-for-profit organizations including the Total Long Term Care Foundation, Guardianship Alliance of Colorado, Colorado Citizens for Accountability, Allied Jewish Apartments, Jewish Senior Recreation Network, the Foundation For Hope and the Life Source Services Hospice.

He was also with the Gorsuch, Kirgis law firm, and the Conover, McClean and Heppenstall law firm, in Denver, Colorado. Additionally, Mr. Muller has a wealth of experience in the development and operation of private power projects in Colorado, serving as Executive Director of the Colorado Independent Energy Association for 20 years.
