Omar K. Qadeer, Esq. is admitted to the New Jersey and New York Bars. Mr. Qadeer practices in a wide range of areas, including family law, immigration, business law, municipal law and criminal defense. Mr. Qadeer earned his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law, where he gained experience as a student attorney in the school’s Community Justice Law Clinic, working on child support, child custody and divorce cases. Within his first year working with a busy New Jersey firm, Mr. Qadeer had made approximately 200 court appearances in his areas of practice. While the number of appearances has increased over time, Mr. Qadeer still offers the same level of professionalism and care that his clients appreciate. Through his law school career, Mr. Qadeer also worked as an intern for the Office of the Executive Counsel for the Governor of Rhode Island and part-time as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge Stephen P. Erickson of the Federal District Court in Newport, Rhode Island. Mr. Qadeer also interned at Rhode Island Legal Services, where he gained experience in a number of different fields, from consumer/bankruptcy law to family and tax law. Upon graduation from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York, classmates Evan N. Pickus and Howard S. Landsberg sought to fulfill a vision- the formation of their own law firm. Originally intending to concentrate in the areas of tax and estates, Mr. Pickus opened his office in East Brunswick, New Jersey, and Mr. Landsberg opened his office in Long Island, New York, with the intention of working together to serve the needs of residents of the respective areas. Having a prior background in accounting, Mr. Landsberg felt after a period of time that his aspirations could be better fulfilled in the area of taxation and advisory accountancy. He, therefore, left the practice and went on to a very successful career in those areas. With his practice already established in New Jersey, Mr. Pickus decided to maintain the firm and has continued practicing under the Pickus & Landsberg name since 1994. Circumstances often dictate the direction of business. New Jersey native Kevin A. Buchan concentrates his legal practice in the areas of criminal defense, administrative law, and ethics proceedings. He regularly handles all phases of criminal litigation at both the state and federal levels. Kevin’s interest in criminal defense work began in law school when he served as an intern in the office of the Union County Prosecutor. From that time on, he knew that he wanted to devote his career to criminal law. Following law school, Kevin served as a criminal law clerk for the Honorable William L’E. Wertheimer, J.S.C. This experience gave him further insight into the workings of the criminal justice system. Kevin takes pleasure in his ability to help others, particularly at a time in their lives when they may have stumbled or made mistakes. Richard W. LeBlancq is a partner in Harwood Lloyd’s Commercial Department concentrating in acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate, commercial leasing, real estate lending, workouts, closely-held businesses, land use and development, and real estate tax appeals. Mr. LeBlancq has been with Harwood Lloyd since 1984. Mr. LeBlancq received his B.A. in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame in 1973. He received his J.D. from Seton Law School in 1981. Mr. LeBlancq was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve on the Bergen County District IIB Fee Arbitration Committee, and served as the Chairman of Bergen County District IIB Fee Arbitration Committee. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Allendale Sports Alliance. He served as counsel to the Northeast Jersey Bankers Association from 1990-1999. Mr. LeBlancq is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New Jersey (1982) and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (1982). Robyn B. Lindsay is Counsel with Harwood Lloyd’s Wills, Trusts and Estates Department and its Commercial Department. She concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and residential real estate. Ms. Lindsay has extensive experience in drafting estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care proxies. Ms. Lindsay is experienced in all phases of the probate process, including probating of wills, preparing and filing of death and inheritance tax returns, drafting and filing of disclaimers and implementing other post-mortem planning techniques. Ms. Lindsay also has considerable experience in the area of real estate purchases, sales and refinances including residential homes, condominiums and cooperatives. Ms. Lindsay received her B.A. in Economics and Music from Colgate University in 1984. She received her J.D. from New York Law School in 1991. Ms. Lindsay is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New Jersey (1992), the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (1992), and the courts of the State of New York (1992). Ms. Lindsay is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association.
