Amy received her B.A. in 1979 with Honors, Phi Beta Kappa, and was awarded her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 1982.  During law school, Ms. Goldstein  was selected to spend a semester working with the nationally renowned Children's Defense Fund in Washington D.C.

Amy has practiced exclusively Family Law for the past twenty-seven years. She is a founding Partner and Shareholder of Adinolfi and Goldstein, P.A.

Amy's practice includes marital dissolution, appeals, alimony, child support, civil unions, child custody, prenuptial agreements, post-divorce cases and related matters.

In 2005,  2006,  2007, 2008 and 2009 Amy was named a  "New Jersey Super Lawyer" by New Jersey Monthly Magazine. This designation is awarded only after a rigorous state-wide Attorney Peer Review process which begins with a potential candidate pool of  approximately 35,000 attorneys across the State of New Jersey.  The designation of "Super Lawyer"  is awarded to only 5% of the attorneys in the State of New Jersey. A special Blue Ribbon Panel reviews and scores a list of nominees, with all finalists' credentials independentely verified.

In 2005, Amy was named one of the Top 50 Female Attorneys in the State of New Jersey by New Jersey Monthly Magazine.

 In 2007, 2008 and 2009 Amy was named a "Top Attorney " in Family Law by SJ Magazine. 

Amy  frequently speaks on issues relating to Family Law and she has written articles on numerous subjects over her career. Topics on which she has lectured and written include child custody, marital torts, attorney ethics, family law mediation, media access to family court cases, alimony, cohabitation, cross examination techniques, business valuation issues in divorce, estate planning issues in divorce, trial strategy, the New Jersey Rules of Evidence, the New Jersey Rules of Court, Family Court motion practice, domestic violence and trial strategies. Her most recent article was published in the "New Jersey Family Lawyer" in November, 2009 and covered issues related to cohabitation and the marital standard of living.

Amy is invited to speak on a regular basis to the general public and to other legal professionals for institutions of higher legal education such as the "American Trial Lawyers Association," "The American Academy of  Matrimonial Lawyers," and "The State of New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education." 

Amy has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1995, at which time she was the youngest member ever admitted into the State chapter of the Academy.  In order to become a Fellow in the Academy, candidates must have significant Family Law trial experience,  recommendations into the Academy by the Judges before whom they regularly appear and they must pass national and state examinations covering complex Family Law issues. 

Since she became a Fellow, Amy has been appointed to serve on the AAML New Jersey State Board of Examiners, the AAML State Board of Managers , the AAML State Bar Relations Committee and the AAML Long Range Planning Committee . 

Amy is also in her ninth year as an appointed member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee  on which she serves on the Children's Rights Subcommittee, the Alimony Guidelines Subcommittee and the Task Force on Issues Affecting the Military. Amy was previously a Contributing Editor and an Associate Editor for its publication, "The New Jersey Family Lawyer." 

Amy  has served as Co-Chair of the Camden County Bar Association's Family Law Committee and Chair of the Camden County Adult Education Committee. Amy has also served as a member of the Camden County Judicial and Prosecutorial Selection Committee, the Camden County Bar Association Family Law Committee and the Camden County Bar Association Professional Responsibility Committee .

In 1991, Amy  was selected to serve on the eight-member committee specially appointed by the New Jersey State Board of Psychological Examiners to draft the Child Custody Evaluation Guidelines for mandatory use by all psychologists in the State of New Jersey. These Guidelines continue to regulate all psychologists conducting Custody Evaluations in the State of New Jersey.

In 1998, Amy was selected to address the Judges of the State of New Jersey at their annual Judicial Conference regarding the Family Law cases published that year.

Amy has appeared as a guest on numerous radio and television news programs, including "Access Hollywood," "Its Your Call With Lynn Doyle," CNN, MSNBC and the Fox News Channel. Amy was also interviewed by Matt Lauer on the nationally televised NBC morning news program, " The Today Show."

 The nation's oldest and most prestigious lawyer rating service and directory is Martindale Hubbell. There are two components to the Martindale Hubbell rating -a legal ability rating and a general ethical standards rating. Amy has always received the highest  rating in both categories from Martindale Hubbell.

In 2007 and 2008, Amy served as a Judge for the New Jersey State High School Mock Trial Competition sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation.  

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Amy has served on the Executive Committee of the Katz Jewish Community Center Arts, Books and Culture Festival. She has also worked for the past eight years with the Joshua Kahan Fund which raises funds to help find a cure for Pediatric Leukemia.
