About Bobby

Attorney Bobby Phillips is a Savannah native. He graduated from Mercer University after which he attended Mercer Law School, receiving a Juris Doctorate degree in 1970. After graduation he entered the United States Army and served for almost 4 years in the Judge Advocate General's (JAGC) office while stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. In 1974 Attorney Phillips returned to Savannah and entered into the private practice of law. In 1979, he became a member of the Georgia Legislature and served six years as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives. During his legal career, Attorney Phillips has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, The U.S. District Courts for Southern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, and all trial Courts in the State of Georgia. Professionally Attorney Phillips is a member of the Georgia Bar Association, Savannah Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He is also an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Savannah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Attorney Bobby Phillips is the only Savannah area attorney to appear and be interviewed on Court TV twice in 1996. He is married to Sheila Phillips and has two sons and a daughter.
