My quick rise to prominence in the legal profession is characteristic of my past successes and a reflection of my upbringing. Growing-up in a military family, I had the opportunity to travel the world on a very limited budget, and to learn from the best that other cultures have to offer. Living in such a structured and disciplined environment also gave me the focus necessary to excel later in life.

As an undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin, I was captain of the wrestling team, a leader in student government and President of the largest student political organization in the nation yet-I still graduated with a 3.9 GPA.

As a student at the University of Virginia School of Law, I was elected to represent other students facing expulsion for alleged academic violations, served on the Editorial Board of a student Law Review, and graduated near the top of my class.
