James J. Donohue, Attorney

Mr. Donohue is a partner in the Litigation Department and heads the Product Liability Practice Group.  He focuses his practice on product liability, class action litigation, and construction related litigation.

Mr. Donohue works closely with long term manufacturing clients in defending lawsuits filed against them in the Philadelphia region, as well as nationally.  Mr. Donohue also counsels and advises manufacturing clients on litigation avoidance.

Mr. Donohue received his A.B., cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 1969 and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972.  Mr. Donohue is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and is also admitted to appear before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western District of Pennsylvania and the Eastern District of Louisiana.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, Past Chair, Committee on Trial Evidence, Section of Litigation (1995-2001), the Federal Judiciary Committee, Section of Litigation (2002-2003), the Federal Practices Task Force, Section of Litigation (2004- ), the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Philadelphia Bar Foundation (Trustee 1992-1997).  Mr. Donohue was selected in a survey of his peers as a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009.  Mr. Donohue has been AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system.
