Patricia Johnson, a Redding bankruptcy lawyer, began her law career in 1986, receiving her California Bar admission after graduating from University of California and Golden Gate Law School. From the beginning, she has taken great pride in advocating for the working people through her many volunteer efforts, including her professional relationship with the Senior Advocacy Center of Northern California, a free legal aid group catering to seniors, and her private law practice.

As a Redding bankruptcy attorney, she now limits her practice to Bankruptcy Law, including Chapter 7 bankruptcy and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, and debt counseling cases. This allows her to devote the necessary time and resources to each client. In her words, “My clients learn that I want only the best for them. If there is a way to avoid bankruptcy, I will give them the advice for free. If they have problems with contracts, credit cards, or other consumer problems, I will use every avenue I can to obtain satisfaction for them. I would like clients to come to me before they feel they need an attorney so maybe we can devise a plan for them to avoid the problem they believe is coming.”

After earning degrees in Political Science and Cultural Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley, Patricia Johnson received her Juris Doctorate from the Golden Gate University School of Law, located in San Francisco. She received the AmJur award in criminal law and completed the Public Interest Law Consortium program (through Golden Gate and Hasting School of Law). She is admitted to the Bar for the State of California (1985), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (1986), the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California (1986) and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California (1999).

While practicing with the Senior Advocacy Center, she aided clients in the areas of debt counseling, landlord-tenant disputes, consumer protection, conservatorships, guardianships,  MediCal estate issues and the preparation and execution of wills.
