How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Local knowledge is critical to the success of your cases. Every jurisdiction is different, and each judge within those jurisdictions is different. An experienced attorney with local knowledge who understands how each court works is essential.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?In an initial free phone consultation, I can usually explain the range of punishment and additional facts that are necessary to really evaluate your case. Every case is different, and every prosecutor and courtroom are different. The facts matter, and personalities matter too.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?In an initial phone consultation, I need to know what charges are pending, if any, the client's name and case number, and the status of the case (e.g. set for arraignment). After that basic information, we can figure out the next step and how to best resolve the case.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?What differentiates me from other lawyers in Memphis is my experience. I have tried dozens of major felony cases including murders, aggravated robberies, drug cases, and sex crimes. Because of my role as a Prosecutor in the Special Victims Unit, I have first-hand experience in how cases are investigated by law enforcement, and I know the people responsible for those investigations. I am experienced and respected in all of the criminal courtrooms in Shelby County, both by the judges and the prosecutors, and I am known for being a successful and passionate trial attorney.
