Karen J. Levitt, Attorney

Karen J. Levitt is a collaborative law attorney and practitioner, mediator, litigator, and trainer with over 25 years of experience, with a concentration in family law. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem and parenting coordinator. Attorney Levitt has a law degree from Boston University School of Law, and is licensed in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She has been active in state and local bar associations, professional and civic organizations, and has been a speaker and trainer on collaborative practice, mediation, litigation, and family law issues both to the public and to members of the legal profession both within the state of Massachusetts and outside of Massachusetts. She has also taught legal research and writing at Boston University School of Law. Attorney Levitt has had several publications in the areas of collaborative practice, mediation, and litigation. Attorney Levitt is currently the President of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council (MCLC). She is a former board member of the Massachusetts Council of Family Mediation (MCFM), and she has met MCFM's standards for certification as a divorce mediator. She is also an arbitrator for the Massachusetts Bar Association Fee Arbitration Board, and a member of the Massachusetts Trial Court Standing Committee on Dispute Resolution where she also chairs their Education Sub-Committee.
